Flat lapping, using both single-sided and double-sided machines, is a specialty. It achieves the highest levels of precision in tolerances, flatness, and surface finishes on your parts. Additionally, we have the capability to establish a flat surface on flexible or irregularly shaped parts before they undergo further machining processes.

PLG uses silicon carbide, aluminum oxide and diamond abrasives for various applications which enables us to hold sizes and dimensions to very close tolerances: within .0002″ in production with flatness requirements of one helium light band (.000012″) on many parts.
