Precise Lapping & Grinding Corp. (PLG) took on the challenge of finishing a zip drive armature for a customer in the electronics industry. Four competing lapping companies were passed over for the services of PLG due to our ability to hold pocket dimensions and the internal diameter of the hole

while meeting the customer's burr free and high tolerance requirements. Utilizing our state-of-the-art equipment including a Speedfam free abrasive lapping machine and Coil CNC grinder, the stainless-steel part was treated with lapping and grinding processes, achieving tolerances of 0.039, and ± 0.005". The part was further smoothed and cleaned with a deburring process.
